Attorney-at-law, Of Counsel at After Legal Law Firm. An expert in AI systems implementation – spanning machine learning, deep learning, and large language models – advising from business, technological, and legal standpoints. He doesn’t just understand the regulatory and compliance dimensions of deploying technology; he is equally fluent in how these solutions work on a technical level.
He has worked with major financial institutions and technology providers on projects covering artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and cybersecurity. He has led projects focused on implementing AI Governance frameworks and deploying generative AI at scale, advising banks, telecoms, and eCommerce platforms, as well as smaller players in the financial sector.
His experience spans the full lifecycle of technology deployment, including ethics and regulatory compliance. He has worked within banks as well as supervisory and regulatory bodies, including the Polish Financial Supervision Authority (KNF) and the National Bank of Poland (NBP), and has completed internships at the International Monetary Fund and the European Central Bank. He has contributed to legislative work, including serving as co-author of a legal opinion for a shadow rapporteur on the EU AI Act. From 2021 to 2023, he served as Deputy Chair of the Law and Ethics subgroup within the AI Working Group at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister of Poland. He currently chairs the Artificial Intelligence Section of the Polish Information Processing Society.
He is the author of Artificial Intelligence: A Practical Guide for the FinTech Sector (2023) and a number of academic articles. He is the co-founder and CEO of GovernedAI, a company focused on the safe, responsible, and ethical deployment of AI solutions. He lectures at Warsaw University of Technology, SGH Warsaw School of Economics, and SWPS University, and has delivered approximately 100 training sessions and workshops on emerging technologies.
